The Online Knowledge Library (b-on) provides research and higher education institutions with unlimited and permanent access to the full texts of thousands of scientific journals and online ebooks from some of the most important content providers, through subscriptions negotiated at national level .

To use b-on from a non-UC network, simply access this address where you will find instructions on how to configure a VPN (Virtual Private Network).

The collaboration agreement signed between the University of Coimbra and Statistics Portugal (the Instituto Nacional de Estatística - INE) is part of the project "INE Network in Higher Education Libraries" and it will allow all professors, students and employees of the University of Coimbra, as well as the population of the Coimbra region, free access to statistical information produced by INE.

Located on the 1st Floor of the General Library of the University of Coimbra (BGUC), the Access Point is a service that allows all users easy, centralized and free access to official statistical information on paper and on CD ROM as well as to all electronic information published on the INE website, the Digital Library of Official Statistics, highlights sent to the media and other services provided by that Institute.

Additionally, users can also retrospectively access all INE statistical information existing in BGUC, given that the library is a beneficiary of the Legal Deposit.

The Access Point is identified with its own signage. It is supported in person by a qualified member of staff and has a telephone with a direct and free connection to INE for additional support or information.

The Access Point's opening hours are the same as the BGUC.
