The diversity of voices in Science at PubhD!
Marcelle Minho, from the PhD program in Education Sciences, talked to us about her research project: "Ecossistema é da biologia ou da educação?" ("Is Ecosystem from biology or education?"). The PhD student, who was with us at the 1st session of the year 2024 of PubhD Coimbra, is part of the Interdisciplinary Studies Center of the 20th Century at the University of Coimbra.
Why did you decide to participate in PubhD Coimbra?
I really believe that science is done collaboratively, and so when I learned about this initiative, I saw it as an opportunity to present my project. I had seen people's opinions and questions, and indeed that's what happened - it was really nice to feel this sharing atmosphere.
How was your experience in this edition of PubhD Coimbra?
It was great! It's a brilliant idea! We're in an environment that's not the University, communicating our project more informally. I was surprised by the presence of a large and very interested audience
Would you advise other colleagues to participate?
Yes, definitely! It's a rich experience where you can talk about your project but also listen to other colleagues with very different projects. It's an opportunity to see and hear science from different perspectives.
