Why did you decide to participate in PubhD Coimbra?

I had already heard from colleagues in the laboratory who had participated. At the time, I found it very interesting, so I decided to sign up. I think it's a very informal, very simple way, and it ends up being comforting when we communicate our project because it eliminates all the formality that science often has. In fact, the science communication I have been doing has been mostly with children, so this opportunity to communicate to a more adult audience is different because we have to adapt our communication in the presentation but also in our responses, by giving some information that may be interesting to a more student-oriented audience, raising awareness of some issues.

How was your experience in this edition of PubhD Coimbra?

It was my first interaction as a speaker but also as a viewer, but I intend to come more often. I liked it a lot and I think it was an easy-sharing experience partly because of the audience, because I always had the perception that it was an open audience to listen and receive what we have to say, which makes our communication easier.

Would you advise other colleagues to participate?

Yes, definitely. I have already challenged some and hope they will participate. But I also recommend coming as an audience member to listen and learn a bit about what is done in other areas and mine.
