Chemical Laboratory of the Department of Earth Sciences (DCT) of FCTUC aims to support the activities of an experimental nature integrated in the master's and doctoral courses taught or supported by the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Coimbra, allowing, at the same time, the scientific research of DCT professors, serving as a basis for the launch of several research projects with external funding.
Despite its strong didactic nature, it also makes it possible to provide services abroad with the preparation of technical reports and opinions requested by companies, institutions or the community in general.
The areas of work for which it is dedicated are related to the quantitative chemical analysis of water, soil, rocks, ores and biological material (vegetable and animal).
