Under the terms of the respective Regulations, the Ombudsman is responsible for the exercise of his functions:

  • To prepare reports on the enquiries it carries out and to formulate the respective conclusions, proposing to the Rector the measures to be taken, either by himself or by other organs and services of the University, its Faculties and other organic units, to prevent or repair illegal, unjust or simply irregular situations

  • To give its opinion on any matter related with its activity, by its own initiative, or by request of the Rector, the General Council, the Directors of the Organic Units or the students' representative associations;

  • From the analysis of the questions submitted to it, to issue opinions and to formulate recommendations about actions to be developed and measures to be taken regarding the statutes and regulations in force, in order to improve the degree of satisfaction of the legitimate rights and interests of the University's students.
