1) University of Coimbra Social Support Fund
This Social Support Fund is from the University of Coimbra and was created by the Senate in the year 2004/2005 as a complementary instrument to the scholarship scheme.
The support has the double objective of:
- To contribute towards the tuition fees of non-scholarship students with manifest and proven economic difficulties;
- To address proven emergency situations understood as situations of serious risk to the survival of a student who does not possess or no longer possesses the means to provide for his/her basic needs of accommodation, health and food.

2) PASEP
PASEP is a new form of social support for students at the University of Coimbra, which consists in offering part-time activities to be carried out in organic units/services of the University, in return for which students receive social benefits.
What types of social support are foreseen?
- Allocation of meal vouchers valid for SASUC food units;
- Full or partial contribution to the costs of accommodation in SASUC residences;
- Total or partial contribution to the tuition fee payable by students on the course in which they are enrolled.
