On November 17th, students from the Master's in Geosciences and the Master's in Geological Engineering and Mining participated in a field trip within the scope of the Applied Geochemistry and Geotechnics curricular units. We visited the abandoned mining areas of the Regoufe Mine, in Arouca, and the São Pedro da Cova Mine, in Gondomar, where we had the opportunity to observe some environmental problems associated, mainly, with mining waste.
