International Universal Health Coverage Day

The Coimbra Health consortium and the Portuguese Chapter of Women in Global Health (WGH) hosted today a closed debate session on the International Universal Health Coverage Day, which is celebrated on the 12th December. The event took place today at CHUC at 12:30 p.m.
This celebration intends to be a worldwide alert to the need to ensure that everyone has access to quality health care, ensuring that no one needs to struggle financially to pay for it.
At least half of the world population does not have access to basic healthcare services.
