Every six months, the EC2U Alliance (European Campus of City-Universities), which includes the University of Coimbra (UC) and six other European universities, holds a meeting to promote the sharing of experiences between the community members: students, faculty, researchers and technical staff, as well as citizens and local and regional authorities, in order to foster a broad and open dialogue on key issues for the future of society.

Starting next week (from the 22nd to the 25th) the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, Germany, will host the EC2U community in the 6th edition of the Forum, with the theme "Community of Action". Workshops, round tables and talks are some of the virtual and face-to-face interdisciplinary activities taking place.

The multiple activities will focus on sustainability from a broad perspective, discussing pressing issues related to three of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4 - Quality Education, and SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities. The EC2U Alliance has been carrying out its work in order to respond to these goals, including the creation of three joint master's degrees based on the challenges set by the SDGs.

All activities are free of charge and you can register here.

The online sessions will be live-streamed on the EC2U YouTube channel.
