For the seventh year in a row, the Associação Académica de Coimbra/University of Coimbra (AAC/UC) canoe team has won the collective trophy. The National University Canoe Championships were held on the 18th of June at the Montemor-o-Velho High-Performance Centre.
"Participation in the National University Championships has become more competitive every year. The fact that the World University Championships are being held in Portugal this year has made it even more competitive. Despite this, the student-athletes representing AAC/UC took up the challenge to fight for their seventh consecutive title," said coach Rui Fernandes.
The students' commitment to the Canoe Team Project has allowed them to continue their sporting success and this weekend they achieved an extraordinary victory.
