The initiative "A Window to the Brain" was one of the ten initiatives awarded by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research of the University of Coimbra (IIIUC), through the program "Promotion of Scientific Culture 2021".
This initiative consists of an exhibition about the brain and its singular nature that will be held at Casa das Artes Bissaya Barreto, from January 21st to February 25th, admission free.
What mysteries hides in the brain? In a dialogue between art and science, the exhibition ""O Brain! My Brain!" exhibition seeks to unveil the brain as an organic and mysterious entity that distinguishes the human and emotional being. An initiative of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research of the University of Coimbra that brings together two research groups, from the Neurosciences and Computational Design, to show how the brain moves, commands, enriches and deceives us, guiding our daily lives from which emerges the multiplicity of being and being, thinking and feeling. In five multimedia and interactive pieces, this collaborative collective opens the window to the universe of the human brain and its unique nature.
Note: Visits from Tuesday to Saturday, from 3pm to 7pm. Access may be conditioned during other events of the Casa das Artes program and its assembly.
