The EC2U Makeathon is an engaging and interactive event that brings together people and organisations across Europe to develop creative solutions to local challenges in a collaborative way, contributing to a better future. It also aims to highlight the innovative capacity of the EC2U European Alliance and the universities and cities involved, contributing to the creation of an EC2U pan-European knowledge ecosystem (PEKE).
The European Campus of City-Universities (EC2U) is a multi-cultural and multi-lingual Alliance consisting of eight universities from diverse regions of the European Union: the University of Coimbra, the University of Iași, the University of Jena, the University of Linz, the University of Pavia, the University of Poitiers (Coordinator), the University of Salamanca and the University of Turku.
