What does the ERC@UC have to offer?

At the UC we provide an individualized plan of funding support designed with each applicant. The UC also includes a specialized team that offers continuous technical and scientific support for each step of the submission process, as well as writing training for our ERC research applicants.

Financial and incentives package

Consult with our team about the financial and professional incentives of applying to the ERC while at the UC. The incentives are tiered depending on the level of the ERC fellow. These incentives are also targeted at researchers already funded by the ERC who wish to move to the UC.

Join our ERC_Academy@UC

At the UC, ERC applicants have access to many resources to support their grant application, including:

• Masterclass Writing sessions 3 to 6 months prior to the deadline in order to help with the application writing process

• ERC mentors at the UC to guide the applicants in the scientific aspects of the call.

ERC_Fellowship@UC is a mentoring program for future candidates of the ERC with ERC researchers at the UC in their research spaces. The fellow is welcomed in an ERC research lab or equivalent for 3 to 6 months and is obliged to submit the application to the ERC at the University of Coimbra during that stay. [This program will be reinstated after the epidemic crisis]

Information sessions are organized in collaboration with our Grant Applications Office (DAPI) and ERC National Contact Point Rui Munhá (PERIN).

Support for disseminating the new science produced by the ERC research and increasing its impact is also available.
