Research in Natural resource, agri-food and environment within Horizon Europe

A Destiiiinations session will be held on April 20th at 3.00pm.

This Destiinations is dedicated to the funding opportunities for research in the next European funding framework programme within the Strategic Reserch Area at UC “Natural Resources, Agri-Food and Environment”. The presentation of the new framework programme for R&D - Horizon Europe - will be the responsibility of the National Contact Points of the National Innovation Agency and the Perin network, Maria João Fernandes and Margarida Santos, delegates for Cluster 6 "Food, bioeconomy, natural resources, agriculture and environment" (Pilar II - Horizon Europe). Some topics for discussion will be the Food value chain, Agriculture and Forestry, Sea, Environment and Natural Resources, Circular Economy and Bioeconomy.

You will learn about:

• The main changes and challenges of the Horizon Europe Framework Programme,

• The upcoming calls within cluster 6 "Food, bioeconomy, natural resources, agriculture and environment".

• The potential European Partnerships within these thematic areas.

The session will also include interventions by Professor Helena Freitas, coordinator of Centre for Functional Ecology, and Professor Fausto Freire, coordinator of the Centre for Industrial Ecology (ADAI-LAETA). By sharing the research and leadership experience in European collaborative projects of these leading researchers from the University of Coimbra, we intend to open a discussion about the challenges associated with the participation and construction of competitive collaborative projects.

The session will be in Portuguese and will have an estimated duration of 1h00.
