Theoretical background:

The RSES is a brief self-report scale that measures self-esteem in adolescents and adults. The total score can be obtained simply by adding the ten 4-point ordinal items (Strongly disagree = 0, Disagree=1, Agree=2, Strongly agree = 3), after reversing the reversible items. Higher scores indicate higher levels of self-esteem.

Description:

Assessment Domain: Self-esteem.

Type of Instrument: Self-report questionnaire.

Number of items: 10 items.
