Theoretical background

The CDCS was specifically developed to address the presence of cognitive decline complaints in adults and older individuals. This questionnaire allows the assessment of the subjective cognitive decline complaints of other domains further than memory.

Description

Assessment Domain: Cognitive decline complaints.

Type of Instrument: Self-report questionnaire or interview.

Application: Individual, 15 minutes.

Population: Adult and elderly.

Studies

The CDCS was originally developed within the project “Aging and Cognitive Decline in the Portuguese Population: Incidence, profiles, risk and protective factors” (IF/FCT/01325/2015), including the development of the experimental study, the pilot study (N=202) and the conclusion of the final version.

Currently, there are in course normative, psychometric and clinical validation studies (with Mild Cognitive Impairment and Alzheimer’s disease patients) of the CDCS for the Portuguese population.

Future research

PsyAssessmentLab is available to actively collaborate in any research projects related to this instrument, including normative and validation studies.
