Previous academic background: bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy (University of the Valley of Rio dos Sinos); master's degree in Food: Sources, Culture and Society (Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Coimbra).

Areas of interest: valorization of gastronomic products; food heritage; eating habits and their changes; culinary nationalism; Portuguese cuisine; Portuguese restaurants abroad.

FCT PhD scholarship ‘What does Portugal tastes like? Portuguese Gastronomy around the world – Narratives and Culinary Nationalism’, Centre for Classical and Humanistic Studies of the University of Coimbra and Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon, under the supervision Carmen Soares and José Manuel Sobral (SFRH/BD/06750/2020).
