Hugo at ORBIT Symposium

Last week, Hugo Gaspar took part in the ORBIT project symposium at the University of Mons, Belgium. It was a very intense three days, with a lot of knowledge sharing between various European bee experts.
The ORBIT project will soon be making photographs and information on the ecology and taxonomy of all bee species in Europe available on a European Commission website. Hugo Gaspar is taking part in this initiative as a reviewer of Iberian species, together with Piluca Álvarez Fidalgo and Marián Álvarez Fidalgo.
The symposium included presentations, identification and photography of bees, as well as a visit to the Mons team's laboratory collection (with over 200,000 bee specimens!).
