Registration is now open for the 2nd Cycle of Lectures "Asia and Europe: Dialogues". The initiative aims to promote academic and cultural dialogue between Asia, Europe and the Lusophone world.

The lecture cycle has as its main objective the widening of the cultural horizon of the academic community and the deepening of interdisciplinary dialogue that crosses study areas such as Literature, Law, Culture, Medicine, Pharmacy, History, Economy, Education, Sociology and International Relations, among others.

The event includes 15 weekly lectures, conducted by renowned university professors from Portugal, Spain, England, Italy, South Korea, Brazil and Cape Verde. The initiative will run from the 17th of February to the 26th of May 2022.

The lectures will be held in person at Colégio da Trindade, with live streaming via Zoom platform, and are open to all interested parties (UC community and general public), with free registration. Participation in these lectures will allow attendees to apply to two Eurasia Foundation Awards worth 500€ each.

The 2nd Cycle of Lectures "Asia and Europe: Dialogues" is an activity funded by the Eurasia Foundation (based in Tokyo). The first edition was held between February and May 2021, under the theme "Intercivilizational Dialogues: Asia, Europe and Portuguese-Speaking Countries - Asian and European-Lusophone Civilization".
