Microbiotec’19 gathers over 400 participants at the UC to debate microbiology and biotechnology

The University of Coimbra (UC) hosts “Microbiotec’19” between the 5th and the 7th of December at the main building of the central building of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the UC (Campus 2), attended by over 400 national and international participants.

Promoted by the Portuguese Society of Microbiology and the Portuguese Society of Biotechnology, Microbiotec is a biannual conference, which, although mainly addressed to Portuguese scientists, gathers researchers from all over the world.

This edition will focus mainly on the relationship with industry, on the creation of a network of culture collection in Portugal, on biotechnology and for the first time on teaching and scientific dissemination of these fields.

The opening session takes place on the 5th December at 2 p.m.
