The ASUC Academy training course was launched as part of Académica Start UC (ASUC - a project to train student ambassadors in innovation and entrepreneurship). The course included modules on transversal communication, employability, project management, leadership, planning and networking, and lasted over 50 hours. The first edition took place between the 13th of March and the 22nd of May and had a "positive" outcome.

ASUC Academy coordinator Vítor Sanfins says: "The feedback and commitment of the participants and trainers has been positive. It was good to see students from almost all faculties enrolled," he adds. With 80 places sold out in less than 48 hours, the course was open to students from the University of Coimbra, from all areas of education, and included national and international participants from all study cycles, says Vítor Sanfins.

According to Vítor Sanfins, the best part was "the testimonies of people from outside academia" who had the opportunity to "bring knowledge to our students", adding that the aim is to "organise it again next semester".

The ASUC Academy course was organised by the Student Hub and Académica Start UC as part of the Living the Future Academy project, with funding from the PRR - Recovery and Resilience Plan. Read more about the 1st edition of the ASUC Academy course here.
