Catarina Costa, a student athlete at the University of Coimbra, took part in the Judo World Championships in Abu Dhabi, where she finished in 5th place after losing to Sweden's Tara Babulfath with 52 seconds to go.
The judoka from Coimbra, who represents the AAC Judo Section, scored 720 qualifying points and secured her participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as one of the eight seeded athletes.
