UC Inspire
The UC Inspire programme is an opportunity for prospective students to experience a two-month stay at the University of Coimbra to help them make an informed choice about their field of study.
Who is it for?
General Objectives of the programme
This course aims to give the opportunity for immersion at the University of Coimbra for a period of two months, thus contributing to a conscious choice of the field of studies the student wants in higher education, so that there is a better adaptation to the European higher education context and better cultural and academic integration in the UC, in Portugal and in the city of Coimbra. Therefore, it enhances a better integration and success index in the preparation for a European higher education, by providing multifaceted experiences of academic life, of personal growth and adjustment to the working methods in higher education.

Application information
Candidates may apply for two different calls.
The number of places available ranges from 30 to 50. Please note that there may be restrictions on the number of places available for each course unit and for specific selection processes.
Editions: The programme offers two editions in the second semester:
a. Edition 1: Applications are accepted between November and December, with the immersion period taking place between February and March.
b. Edition 2: Applications are accepted between January and February, with the immersion period taking place between April and May.
Programme structure
To obtain a diploma, candidates must attend at least 80% of the scheduled classes.
Advantages
Admission to any of UC's degree programmes requires the successful completion of the relevant exams. Participation in UC INspire does not guarantee admission to any UC degree, but it does offer the following:
a. Application for special admissions for students who have attended and successfully completed the programme;
b.The award of a UC diploma with 3 ECTS credits and an entry in the Diploma Supplement in the cases provided for in point d) (Structure).
c. An inspiring and duly accredited multicultural experience.
