The Collaborative Robotics Laboratory at the University of Coimbra (CoRLuc) conducts interdisciplinary research within various thematic lines, encompassing both fundamental and applied research.

Research

At CoRLuc, the various sub-groups operate across 6 key thematic lines: (1) COLLABORATIVE ROBOTICS, (2) HUMAN-ROBOT INTERACTION, (3) ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, (4) SOFT ROBOTICS, (5) SYSTEMS INTEROPERABILITY, and (6) ADVANCED MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS.

Where we are

Located within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Coimbra, we have three specialized facilities equipped to conduct research in robotics and AI, advanced manufacturing systems, fabrication and characterization. CoRLuc is part of CEMMPRE R&D unit.

Prospective students

We are looking for motivated students and researchers interested in robotics to join our team. Ph.D. and Ms.C. students are welcome.
