Brief description: Brief introduction module to R software, focusing on graphical representations of different types of data in the context of exploratory data analysis.

R is a powerful and robust language and tool for statistical and graphical analysis, having a huge collection of functions for Statistical Models, Computational Algorithms, Mathematical Methods and Data Visualisation. Since R is an open-source statistical package its flexibility makes it very popular in academia.

This module with places available for EDs is part of the Research Methods and Data Analysis course of the PhD in Psychology.

Attendance of this introductory module is mandatory for the other modules of the Research Methods and Data Analysis course.

Attendance of more than 75% of the course will entitle the student to a certificate of participation. The evaluation of the students enrolled through the Doctoral Schools does not foresee any evaluation of the acquired knowledge.
