Description

Differences between Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA); assumptions; criteria for factor retention (especially in SFA); methods of factor rotation; sample size; determination of explained variance; indicators of the quality of adjustment of the model to data. The software IBM-SPSS and AMOS will be used.

This module is part of the Research Methods and Data Analysis course of the PhD in Psychology, some places are made available for the Doctoral Schools of the UC.

Attendance of more than 75% of the course will entitle the student to a certificate of participation. The evaluation of the students enrolled through the Doctoral Schools does not foresee any evaluation of the acquired knowledge.

Requiriments: Basic knowledge of statistics are mandatory.
