DEI-FCTUC signs cooperation agreement with Roche Diagnostics GmbH in the scope of the Master of Data Science and Engineering

The Department of Informatics Engineering (DEI) of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC) and the pharmaceutical company Roche Diagnostics GmbH, one of the largest biotechnology centres in Europe, have recently established a Cooperation Agreement in the scope of the Master of Data Science and Engineering.

This partnership between DEI and the German pharmaceutical company will allow students of the Master of Data Science and Engineering to have training contracts with Roche as from the end of the current academic year in order to prepare their Master's dissertations at the company's facilities in Penzberg, Germany, in close coordination with FCTUC.

The Master of Data Science and Engineering of the University of Coimbra trains professionals in the area of IT/computing with specific competences to analyse, design and implement advanced services and solutions for the collection, modelling, storage, management and analysis of data as decision support resources.
