The Association of Former Students - Alumni Network of the University of Coimbra (UC) was presented on the 27th June in Mozambique. The ceremony took place in Maputo and included the intervention of the former President of the Mozambican Republic (and Doctor Honoris Causa from the UC) Joaquim Chissano.

The launch session of the UC Alumni Network in Mozambique was one of the highlights of the visit to the African country by a delegation from the University of Coimbra (UC), headed by the Vice-Rector for External Relations and Alumni, João Nuno Calvão da Silva. "Similarly to what we recently did in Benelux and São Tomé and Príncipe, the launch of the Alumni Network in Mozambique aims to bring our Alumni closer to their Alma Mater, trying to make them our ambassadors, genuine players in the internationalisation of the UC," he said.
