Conversations

The first of the 5 dimensions included in the “FEUC: 50 years” program concerns the holding of a cycle of conversations (talks) on topics that have a lot to do with FEUC and its teachers, raising contributions and perspectives from various disciplinary areas . It is about promoting debates around topics of great interest and relevance. The format of each session consists of a conversation between 3 academics/experts (2 FEUC professors) and a member external to FEUC, which will be moderated by a journalist. These conversations will take place at 5 pm in the FEUC library.

Climate Change and Sustainability

What path has brought us to the climate crisis and how can we combat it? A conversation in which it is intended to look, from different perspectives and disciplinary areas, at the steps taken and those to be taken. Among the speakers are Eduardo Barata, professor at FEUC and researcher at CeBER, Paula Duarte Lopes, professor at FEUC and researcher at CES, and Luísa Schmidt, sociologist and principal investigator at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ICS-ULisboa).
