On the 14th of February, the 2023 edition of “Sociology Day” will take place, with the theme “35/50: Thinking about the future”. The initiative is organized by the Sociology Teachers' Nucleus of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC) and by the Sociology Students' Nucleus of the Academic Association of Coimbra (AAC).

The welcome session will take place in the FEUC Auditorium, at 10:15 am, and will include representatives of the Board of FEUC, the Board of the Center for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra, the Coordination of the Nucleus of Sociology Teachers and their courses, as well as the Board of the AAC Sociology Students Nucleus.

At 11 am, the lecture “Out of the closet: the place of Sociology in Queer Epistemology” will also take place in the FEUC Auditorium, which will be given by Ana Cristina Santos, Researcher at the Center for Social Studies. At 3 pm, there will be a session called Tiago Pereira: Portuguese Music to Like It Own, with comments by Cláudia Pato de Carvalho.

From 6 pm onwards, the launch session of the 10th edition of Prisma.Soc, the Sociology of Coimbra newsletter, will take place at the FEUC Library. The activities end with a musical moment.
