From the 1st to the 3rd of February, the International Congress Thinking the Twentieth Century. Perspectives from the twenty-first century will take place at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra

This is a conference open to the entire academic community that seeks to be part of contemporary debates on the history, memory and heritage of the 20th century, contributing to the diversification and complexification of its narratives and representations.

It will have contributions from multiple scientific areas that reflect on the 20th century, including history and memory, art history, cultural, artistic and literary studies, philosophy, communication sciences, pedagogy, digital humanities, economics and social sciences, climate and environmental studies, natural sciences and technology, urban and mobility studies.

Franco "Bifo" Berardi, Lilia Schwarcz, Odd Arne Westad and Vanessa Schwartz are Guest Speakers.

The Scientific Commission has CEIS20 researchers António Pedro Pita, Dina Sebastião, Joana Ricarte, João Paulo Avelãs Nunes, Luís Trindade and Nuno Coelho.
