Within the scope of the Master in “Social Intervention, Innovation and Entrepreneurship” the International Congress will be held on September 29 and 30, 2023: “The vision of Prometheus: from innovation to social transformation”
Prometheus is known to have stolen fire from the gods and given it to mortals, bringing light and progress to mankind. It is considered a symbol of innovation and technological progress. It is in this metaphor that social innovation emerges as an opportunity to transform contemporary society.
This Congress brings together a group of specialists and activists for reflection and discussion on the importance of social innovation, whether in the current process of ecological transition, or even in processes of integration and intervention with peripheral communities. It will include two sessions of lectures by academic specialists and political and social actors, practical workshops, conversation rounds with social entrepreneurs and project presentations. It also develops a collaboration with the project for inclusion through art, Saco da Baixa, which will allow participants to customize their Congress bags.
