Communication of Legal Research (Legal SciComm)

The Legal SciComm team presented preliminary results of the study on legal research communication at the SciComPt2024 conference, held in Braga between 8 and 10 May 2024.

About the Project

Science communication is an increasingly important aspect of research. Major research funders require researchers to have plans for communicating and disseminating their scientific activities to specialized and nonspecialized audiences. Because it is a relatively new topic in academia, it is not yet well known among legal scholars. At the global level, research on this topic is almost, if not completely, non-existent. In line with European research guidelines and the strategic plan of the University of Coimbra Institute for Legal Research (UCILeR), this project will explore science communication in the legal field.

The main objective is to identify tools that will help UCILeR researchers to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of communication in legal research.
