Young students and researchers participate in Researchers' Camp 2024

Researchers' Camp 2024 was held at Colégio da Trindade from 5 to 9 February and was attended by PhD students from various educational institutions.

This year's edition covered various topics such as innovation and academic entrepreneurship; publishing academic articles; literature review and tools to support academic writing; using artificial intelligence; research methodologies; and time management strategies, among others. At the end, participants were invited to present a proposal for social innovation and/or science communication.

In addition to researchers from the UCILeR, the training sessions also featured external speakers who broadened the range of knowledge in this year's programme:

- Artificial Intelligence as a research tool | Catarina Silva (Researcher at CISUC and Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at UC)

- How to organise and promote Social Innovation Projects | Luís Silva (UC Business)

- Legal research methodologies | Luís Vale (Researcher at the UCILeR and Coordinator of the Master's programme at FDUC)

- Emotional management strategies | Nuno Mota (Clinical Psychologist)

- Research Methodologies | Joana Ricarte (CEIS20 Integrated Researcher)

- Practices for managing anxiety | Diogo Amorim (Physician and Clinical Director of the Institute of Integrative Medicine)

Researchers' Camp is an intensive annual training course aimed at people who want to pursue and advance a career in research, and is ideal for master's and doctoral students, as well as young researchers.
