Workshop on non-custodial sentences and measures - Pri Alt Eur

In the framework of the research projects Pri Alt Eur and the FIPP (Fondation Internationale Pénale et Pénitentiaire), a Workshop on non-custodial sentences and measures was held on November 4, 2021, at the Palacio dos Melos, with the participation of Penal Reform International, the UCILeR/FDUC research team and several professionals from the criminal justice system.

The first part of the event was dedicated to the impact of the pandemic on the application and execution of alternative sentences to prison and on the preparation of prisoners for freedom. The second part discussed the planning of a training course and the design of a pilot project on non-custodial sentences and measures, with a special focus on people in vulnerable situations.
