UCILeR receives a visit from a Fulbright Specialist

From 27 October to 9 November, the UCILeR hosted researcher Sharvari Karandikar, Professor at the College of Social Work at Ohio University, USA, as part of the Policies, Law and Services for Migrants project, approved under the Fulbright Specialist programme.

During this period, the researcher held several meetings with various researchers from the UCILeR and led two workshops, one focused on migration and human trafficking, and the other on qualitative research methodologies and ethics in the social sciences.

The Fulbright Specialists Programme allows US specialists (professors, researchers and professionals) to carry out short-term teaching, consultancy and research projects in Portuguese institutions (educational, governmental, non-governmental, cultural, medical and research centres).
