UCILeR participates in the "Futures: Forest Technological Exhibition"

University of Coimbra Institute for Legal Research was present at "Futures: Technological Forestry Exhibition", on 19 October, in Cantanhede. Represented by researchers Fernando Borges and Karoline Vitali, UCILeR presented the work developed within the scope of research on forests. Currently participating in 4 ongoing projects (House Refuge, Interface Segura, Evacuar Floresta and FirEUrisk), UCILeR's participation in the event aimed to create links and proximity with innovation companies in the forestry market.

Under the theme "The Futures of the Forest-based Circular Bioeconomy", the event aimed to disseminate new forest-based products and technologies from all the Higher Education Institutions, Science and Technology Parks and Technology Interface Centres in the Central Region, due to the region's great potential. Models and Strategies for Valuing Knowledge" were analysed, in an initiative which included interaction between companies and researchers and the first think tank, a moment of reflection and literacy on the future of the circular forest-based bioeconomy.

"Futures: Forest Technological Showcase" is integrated in the plan of activities of the INOVC+ project: Ecosystem for Intelligent Innovation in the Centre Region, a consortium comprising 19 entities from Higher Education Institutions, Interface Centres and Science and Technology Parks, led by the University of Coimbra.
