The European Researchers' Night (ERN) is a Europe-wide public event, which displays the diversity of science and its impact on citizens' daily lives in fun and inspiring ways. Thus, ERN aims bringing science and society closer together. This year, dedicated to "Science for All - Inclusion and Sustainability", the event took place simultaneously in 26 countries.

In Coimbra, on the Science Route route there were 62 points of researchers, where each team shared what they do in their day-to-day research with the city, through quizzes, games, demonstrations, talks with scientists, among many other activities.

The UCILeR, through dialogues with the public, sought to raise awareness about issues such as wilfires, domestic violence and artificial intelligence, as well as presented two problem-solving and teamwork games on open access.
