On September 30, the conclusions of the comparative report on non-custodial sanctions and measures in European Union Member States, prepared within the scope of the project "Promoting non-discriminatory alternatives to imprisonment across Europe", were presented by Prof. Anabela Miranda Rodrigues (UC) and Tanja Dejanova (PRI), at the "5th World Congress on Probation and Parole", in Ottawa, Canada.

The Promoting non-discriminatory alternatives to imprisonment across Europe aims at understanding and promoting the use of alternative sentences to imprisonment within the European Union, with a special focus on the most vulnerable people and on the impact of the pandemic on the application and execution of these sentences.
