The FCT scholarship holder and our researcher, Luiza Nogueira Barbosa, presented a paper entitled "Lex anticorruptione: the transnationalisation of corruption and its normative order", co-authored with the FCT scholarship holder and UCILeR researcher, Niedja de Andrade e Silva Forte dos Santos, at the 27th World Congress of Political Science: Politics in the Age of Transboundary Crises: Vulnerability and Resilience, which took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 15 to 19 July 2023.

The presentation was held in the session "Political Theory, Panel: Constitutionalism & Republicanism", which featured two leading global experts in the field of corruption, Robert Sparling and Camila Vergara.

The research, which stems from previous work carried out under the MediMARE Project, coordinated by our researcher Dulce Lopes, addresses the lex anticorruptione. By combining the legal perspective with that of international relations, the researchers demonstrate the emergence of a global anti-corruption normative order, within the international regime, in which multiple actors have the opportunity to create and justify norms beyond the normative set coming from States.
