Launching of the book "New Directions for Environmental Law: a look at geodiversity" | October 20, 2021

The launch of the book "Novos rumos do direito ambiental: um olhar para geodiversidade" will take place on October 20, live through the Unicamp Publishing House's YouTube channel, at 12:30 pm Brasilia time and 4:30 pm Lisbon time. The book is co-organized by Dr. Alexandra Aragão, UCILeR researcher. The launching event will be attended by the other two organizers of the book, Luciana Cordeiro de Souza-Fernandes and Artur Agostinho de Abreu e Sá.

This work innovates by offering the reader several perspectives on the environmental theme, uniting environmental law with Earth sciences. It stands out by incorporating the multi, inter, and transdisciplinarity necessary for the effectiveness of environmental legislation, which must be elaborated from the knowledge and assimilation of concepts from the Earth sciences. Its pioneerism is in articulating the themes through a set of 24 chapters by renowned authors, professors and members of national and international research groups, which demonstrate and reveal the interconnection and interdependence between such synergistic themes.
