The kick-off meeting of Justice, Fundamental Rights and Artificial Intelligence - JuLIA was held on 16 and 17 May, at Colégio da Trindade. JuLIA, of which we are partners, is a European research project implemented by a Consortium of eleven European partners led by Universitat Pompeu Fabra. The project aims at investigating the impact of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) by courts and other public and private institutions, on fundamental rights. The project is coordinated at the UCILeR by our researcher Sandra Passinhas.
