On 10 January 2024, the final workshop of the "House Refuge" project will be held at the Laboratory for Forest Fire Studies (LEIF), located at the Lousã Aerodrome.

The House Refuge project is funded by FCT and includes the Association for the Development of Industrial Aerodynamics - ADAI (coordinator), Itecons and the UCILeR as partners. This project has developed various models and good practices for fire risk management at the urban-forest interface, at the property scale, i.e. the building and its surroundings up to 50m.

During this final workshop, the main results will be presented and various scientific, technical and legal proposals for fire risk management in these spaces will be shared and debated, with the citizen at the centre of the process. In addition, tests will be carried out to demonstrate how the protection solutions studied in the project work. At the end, there will be lunch to continue the dialogue between those present.

Participation in the workshop is free, but prior registration is required and can be done here.

The event has a capacity of 50 participants, who will be selected in order of registration, which ends on 8 January 2024. Registration will be confirmed later by email.
