Exhibition: Right to my City

On February 28, 2023, in the Chapel of the Trinity College will be inaugurated the exhibition of the works of the contest "Right to my city" within the framework of the project World Cities Day - Right to Citizenship and Culture, promoted by the UCILeR and the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra.


The project "World Cities Day - Right to Citizenship and Culture" aims to discuss the theme of cities of the future - more sustainable, inclusive and preserving their heritage - with students and teachers of the 3rd cycle of the Elementary and High School of Coimbra. The project, which began on September 30, 2022, included several activities such as a walk through Coimbra's Alta, four lectures at schools in the municipality of Coimbra and several mentoring sessions for the realization of the competition pieces.


The exhibition will be on display in the cloister of Trinity College until March 31, the day when the 14 groups between 8th and 11th grade from four schools in the municipality of Coimbra will meet the winners.


The project WORLD CITIES DAY - Citizenship and Culture is promoted by the UCILeR and the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra in collaboration with CAUS -Colégio das Artes, FCTUC-DARQ, CES, FLUC-CIECUC, FPCEUC-CEISXX (organic units and research centers of the University of Coimbra).

OPENING PROGRAM OF THE EXHIBITION:

09.45 am- Reception of schools and guests

10.00 am - Opening session by the organizers of the project
Introduction to the competition - Cristina Perestrelo
Discussion with the students about the works developed and conclusions about the theme of the project
