On 7 December 2022, the European Commission presented an important proposal for a directive to harmonize various aspects of insolvency law. It addresses issues of great importance to create a business environment that allows companies to be more resilient and avoid the destruction of assets that insolvency proceedings often entail. Creating a good legal framework for insolvent companies also helps to reduce financing costs. In the time leading up to the webinar, there are sure to be many developments and more to discuss.
