The elections for the General Council and for the Senate of the University took place yesterday, December 13th. UC/FL Assistant Professor Jorge Alves Correia was appointed Chair of the Electoral Commission in the elections of student representatives from the 1st/2nd and 3rd Cycles of Studies to the General Council.
In these elections, the Faculty of Law stood out and actively contributed to the vitality of the democratic process. In addition to having been elected by the UC Rectory as the “house of debates” of the candidates for the General Council, the UC/FL featured as the organic unit with the greatest participation of the academic community, due to the impressive result of over 800 voters, which represents the largest vote in General Council elections ever.
Despite adverse weather conditions, the vitality of our Faculty stood out. UC/FL takes this opportunity to congratulate all the candidates elected for the General Council and for the Senate of the University of Coimbra.
