Last Friday, 30 September, the 2nd National Meeting of Consumer Arbitrators was held at the UC Faculty of Law. Among those present was the Director General of Consumers, Dr. Ana Catarina Fonseca, the Director General of Justice Policy, Dr. Lídia Jacob, the Director of Consumer Communication Office, Dr. Sónia Lapa de Passos, the Director of the Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution of the DGPJ, Dr. Marta-San Bento, the Directors of the Consumer Conflict Arbitration Center and a very significant number of consumer arbitrators from all over the country. At the Meeting, coordinated by Prof. Sandra Passinhas, practical issues generating controversy were discussed, arguments were presented and solutions were proposed. The Meeting was closed by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Commerce and Services, Rita Marques.
