DCT Master's Thesis is a finalist for the Mirpuri Foundation's Ocean Award 2021

The Master's Thesis in Geosciences entitled “Correlation model between the Lusitanian Basin and the Peniche Basin based on seismic stratigraphy“ was selected for the group of finalists for the Ocean Award 2021 of the Mirpuri Foundation. Created by Salomé Custódio, the project was supervised by Roberto Fainstein and Rui Pena dos Reis.

The jury, which is made up of a renowned panel of sustainability experts from the Mirpuri Foundation, also selected as a finalist for the Ocean Award 2021, the project coordinated by Rafael Marques, a student of the Degree in Geology, entitled “Late Jurassic stormy events in the North Atlantic and its record in Portugal”.

The presentation of the finalist projects will take place during the Cascais stopover of the famous The Ocean Race Europe regatta on June 5th.
