Donation ceremony of Dr Jorge Paiva's slide collection

A retired professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra, Jorge Paiva donated his collection of more than 30 thousand slides to the Department of Life Sciences, in a small ceremony that took place yesterday. The director of the DCV, Prof. Miguel Pardal, symbolically received the precious collection, completely dated and identified with the name of the places, people and plants. The estate, now in the custody of the DCV, will be digitized and made available for consultation in due course.
