DCV professors and researchers are part of an international team that published a scientific article

Sofia Tereso, PhD student at the DCV, is part of the international team of researchers that has just published a scientific article resulting from the study of a human skeleton, about a thousand years old, found near Bragança. João Teixeira, also from UC and a specialist in human genetics, coordinated the team that identified a case of Klinefelter syndrome and that will allow us to understand the incidence of this and other genetic syndromes in the past through the analysis of human fossils.
Professor Cláudia Umbelino and researcher Francisco Curate, both from the DCV, also participated in the study.
